As Artistic Director of in:spire with… I am delighted to announce a third season of happy and grateful collaboration with St Andrew’s URC and a set of six, exciting and diverse concerts. The scope of these concerts is greater than ever, ranging from top-class classical saxophone, violin and solo piano recitals, through a 60-strong, amateur Barbershop chorus, to string quartet music for 0-3 year-olds and their families. All bar one of this season’s artists are Sheffield-based, making this series a shining example of the breadth and quality of music-making in this city. I am particularly proud that the Series is continuing to operate on a donations-only basis and hope that this helps its audience to continue to expand in all directions. Many regular in:spire-goers comment on the informal warmth and friendliness of these events and this makes the Series so special!
